DRA Advisors LLC’s mission is to help our clients achieve their financial goals. Our Team
Made up of 14 partners, DRA’s management team is comprised of industry veterans and leading real estate professionals with 25 years’ average experience together at DRA.
David Luski
President and Chief Executive Officer & Co-Founder
Mr. Luski co-founded DRA in 1985. Mr. Luski is responsible for all aspects of DRA’s business, including acquisitions, asset management, and the coordination of key business functions across the company. Prior to DRA, Mr. Luski worked for 6 years at General Electric, where he started in GE’s financial management program and was subsequently involved in the acquisition and management of GE Pension Trust’s investments. Mr. Luski graduated from Boston University with a B.S. degree in Business Administration.
Jean Marie Apruzzese
Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Apruzzese joined DRA in 1993. She oversees the overall business, financial, and administrative operations of DRA as well as the Asset Management Group. Ms. Apruzzese initially joined DRA as a property analyst and eventually served as Controller. Prior to DRA, Ms. Apruzzese worked at the Clifford Companies, an affiliated group of real estate companies, where she was involved in real estate financial analysis. Prior to Clifford, she was an auditor at Eisner & Lubin CPAs.
Ms. Apruzzese graduated from Manhattan College with a B.S. in Accounting and Management.
Matthew Shore
Chief Investment Officer
Mr. Shore joined DRA in 2002. Mr. Shore oversees the Company’s acquisitions and is involved in the strategic asset management of DRA’s portfolio. Mr. Shore joined DRA as an acquisition analyst in New York and opened the Miami office in 2006.
Prior to DRA, Mr. Shore worked for Wachovia Securities, where he was responsible for the valuation and analysis of public REITs. He originally joined Wachovia’s predecessor, First Union, as an analyst in its private equity coverage group.
Mr. Shore graduated from Cornell University with a B.S. degree.
Adam Breen
Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Multifamily
Mr. Breen oversees the Investor Services Group which is responsible for capital raising, investor relations and marketing for DRA’s Funds. He is also involved in both the acquisitions and asset management of DRA’s investments and supervises the multifamily asset management group. Mr. Breen joined DRA in 1999. He initially joined DRA as a financial analyst. Prior to DRA, Mr. Breen served as a financial analyst for La Salle Partners and performed annual internal appraisals across the company’s portfolio.
Mr. Breen graduated from the University of Michigan with a BA in Business Administration. He is also a Chartered Financial Analyst.
David Gray
Chief Compliance Officer
Mr. Gray joined DRA in 1997. He oversees the Compliance, Valuations and Portfolio Management groups and spearheads the financing of DRA’s assets. Mr. Gray initially joined DRA where he worked on asset financings and portfolio management, including the financial operations of DRA’s managed funds. Prior to DRA, Mr. Gray spent 12 years in public accounting, principally with Friedman, Alpern & Green where he supervised audits of large real estate companies.
Mr. Gray graduated from Geneva College with a B.S. degree in Accounting and Business Administration.
Daniel Goldman
Head of West Coast Operations
Mr. Goldman joined DRA in 2004. He is responsible for acquisitions and investment sales. In addition, Mr. Goldman contributes to the asset management and value creation of the portfolio on the western half of the country. Prior to DRA, he worked at Citizens Bank as a Vice President, where he was responsible for originating construction and permanent loans for the bank. Mr. Goldman began his career at Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, where he was an acquisition and asset management analyst working on all property types in New York and the Mid-Atlantic.
Mr. Goldman graduated from the University of Pennsylvania with a B.A. degree.
Dean Sickles
Head of East Coast Operations
Mr. Sickles joined DRA in 2002. He is responsible for acquisitions and investment sales. In addition, Mr. Sickles contributes to the asset management and value creation of the portfolio on the eastern half of the country. Prior to DRA, Mr. Sickles worked for Arthur Andersen in their real estate services group, where he was responsible for valuations, CMBS underwriting and due diligence, and systems and process consulting.
Mr. Sickles graduated from Ithaca College with a B.S. degree in accounting.
Andrew Peltz
Managing Director, Acquisitions
Mr. Peltz joined DRA in 1987. He is involved in the acquisitions and asset management of the company and has served as the lead principal involved in the firm’s retail property acquisitions. Prior to DRA, Mr. Peltz served as an acquisition analyst for Tishman Speyer Properties.
Mr. Peltz graduated from Clark University with a BA degree. He also has a law degree from Rutgers University and an MBA from New York University.
Jason Borreo
Managing Director, Structuring and Due Diligence
Mr. Borreo joined DRA in 1998. He oversees DRA’s deal structuring, tax, acquisition due diligence and joint venture on-boarding. Mr. Borreo initially joined DRA where he was involved in the portfolio management of one of DRA’s managed funds. Prior to DRA, Mr. Borreo served as a financial analyst for Helmsley Enterprises. Prior to Helmsley, he was an auditor in the real estate group of Mazars USA LLP.
Mr. Borreo graduated from Rutgers University with a BS degree in Accounting and Business Administration.
Janine Roberts
Managing Director, Dispositions
Ms. Roberts joined DRA in 1994. She is responsible for the investment sales of DRA’s managed assets. Ms. Roberts initially joined DRA as an analyst was involved in both asset management and the management of fund operations. Prior to DRA, Ms. Roberts served as an auditor with Kenneth Leventhal & Company.
Ms. Roberts graduated from New York State University of Buffalo with a B.S. degree in Accounting.
Glen Besser
Managing Director, Investor Relations
Mr. Besser joined DRA in 2002. Mr. Besser is responsible for the Investor Relations team. Mr. Besser joined DRA as an analyst in the Portfolio Management Group and served as the Senior Portfolio Manager overseeing DRA Growth & Income Fund VI. Prior to DRA, Mr. Besser worked for Wereldhave N.V, where he was responsible for financial reporting and property management across the company’s United States real estate and development portfolio.
Mr. Besser graduated from Northeastern University with a B.S degree in Business Administration and from New York University with a master’s degree in real estate.
Robert Hyman
Managing Director, Asset Management
Mr. Hyman joined DRA in 2000 as an Asset Manager overseeing all property types and currently serves as a senior member of the Asset Management Group. Prior to DRA, Mr. Hyman was a principal of a retail franchise where he was responsible for site selection. In addition, Mr. Hyman owned and operated three franchise locations. Mr. Hyman also worked for Triangle Construction, a New York City based construction firm where he was a field supervisor of commercial real estate development projects.
Brett Gottlieb
Managing Director, Acquisitions
Mr. Gottlieb joined DRA in 2009. He is responsible for sourcing and executing on investment opportunities across all product types and has worked extensively on building joint venture platforms for DRA. Mr. Gottlieb is also one of DRA's lead principals for the retail sector and oversees the asset management and value creation of the firm's national retail portfolio. He originally joined DRA as an acquisition analyst.
Mr. Gottlieb graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. degree.
Werner Kratovil
Managing Director, Acquisitions
Mr. Kratovil joined DRA in 2012. He is responsible for acquisitions, investment sales and asset management. Mr. Kratovil also spends time developing DRA's life science strategy. Prior to DRA, he worked at Morgan Stanley in their Real Estate Investment Banking group where he was responsible for mergers and acquisitions, debt and equity issuance, and corporate strategy. Mr. Kratovil graduated from the University of The South with a B.S. degree and the University of North Carolina's Kenan Flagler Business School with an MBA.

Since our inception, DRA Advisors has specialized in value-added investments in the real estate sector. Originally founded in 1986, DRA has operated as a privately-owned company since 1994. In that time, we’ve evolved our business and refined our approach, growing our portfolio to $12.4 billion in assets under management. Today we have 3 offices in the US: New York, San Francisco, and Miami.
Operating over multiple market cycles, our team has seen a lot of change. In that time, we’ve remained focused on disciplined value-added investing, earning us the trust and esteem of clients, banks, and industry peers.
